About Post 66

Gresham-Baker Post 66 in Mooresville, North Carolina is one of the oldest American Legion posts in North Carolina. Charted in January 1920 just after the close of World War I, the organization is dedicated to supporting and recognizing military veterans and those still on active duty. With over 100 members, the post offers membership for honorably discharged military veterans who served during specified periods of conflict.  Our post is active in supporting veterans by way of providing transportation, community support, and service recognition. In addition, Post 66 sponsors two American Legion baseball teams, high school JROTC, and teen leadership programs.

In partnership with Iredell County, Post 66 manages community service workers and provides dedication and recognition to military veterans from various periods of conflict. Each year, the post offers scholarships toward teen leadership programs including Boy's State and the North Carolina Trooper Academy. Our baseball program is quite active with the post sponsoring a senior and junior Legion Baseball team.
